Fishtastic recognised that their business was changing and needed to channel more of their resources to the online shopping market. Recognising the opportunity to create a new revenue stream and make their products available to a larger audience, Fishtastic approached Pelling with the view to creating an e-commerce web presence. With the wide array of E-Commerce platforms on the market, an important part of the project was to sit down with Fishtastic, talk through the various pros and cons of each system, and decide which would be best suited to their requirements.
We settled with open cart, mainly due to the amount of online support that is provided, especially after the handover, meaning that most issues can be dealt with easily & efficiently. Although Opencart comes with a range of templates we always come up with a bespoke designs for our clients, helping your site stand out from the crowd - there is no point looking like everyone else!
This is a massive site, with over 2,500 products on it, which meant that we had to be careful when designing the look and feel of it. With such a huge selection of products it is imperative that customers are able to find what they require without having to trawl through the website for hours.
